You were a pleasant change

in my mundane life

and I will miss you, I'm sure.

You opened my world

to things quite new,

but there's only so much I can endure.

Inspired by elusive fictional heroines,
romantic movies,
silly love songs,
and memories long-forgotten.
She wallows in the music,
or in the silence,
and laughs at nothing at all.
She sees wonder and beauty
in the darkness,
and finds peace
in the midst of a fall.
