Dix-Sept.

The Beauty Of What May Come.

Taking all I've felt in
To the point of me
not being able to breathe.
I know the love I know may be fading,
and the dreams I once had
are disappearing.

I can't seem to comprehend
why I can't seem to mend
the broken pieces of my heart.
All my eyes could see
is what and how it used to be
in a world that seems torn apart.

But hope is not lost..
just need to hold to faith at all costs.
The beauty of what may come is within reach.
The silver lining is shining,
somewhere and somehow,
waiting for the perfect moment.

Seize.

In Love And Back.

Love cast away in a millisecond
with a regret that shook the vast ground below.
The new lights of the wide open door beckon,
but are those lights the very things that glow?
For the seeming blue skies have faded to gray
Like the still memory in black and white,
and it appears that my hopes have gone away
as the windows of my eyes lose their sight.
I then realized that the magic was lost;
I failed to make our dearest promise last.
The one moment we needed the most
Never happened and never came to pass.
Though there is something within that I lack
One can say, I have been in love and back.

The Child Within.

A little girl creates a paper boat,
crafted with her own little hands.
She lets it glide in the pool of water,
but the blustery wind topples it over.

As the paper boat begins to sink
in the bottom of the clear creek,
the little girl looks on
till it was nowhere to be seen.

Rays of light creeping in the leaves,
a butterfy flutters by and by.
She looks above and lifts up her head
The breeze blows the dust ahead.

She stands up and walks away,
then she glances at a piece of paper
She folds it out and makes a boat again,
then lets it float until the day ends.

Peace That Surpasses All Understanding.

Peace that surpasses all understanding,
be like an innocent child of sweet day.
The blurry visions of thine heart are waiting,
while the weary body begins to lay.
Then the wandering sight stares into space,
where thoughts of torment do not persist.
One envisages an unlikely place;
chaos and encumbrance cease to exist.
Forthwith, forget thy struggles and worries
in the emptiness of the inner night.
Let silence take you where souls meet bodies
until the early bird proclaims the light.
Awaken! Transcend through the atmosphere,
for to brave the hour, one must know no fear.
