I am more than a contemplative and a beating heart.

I am a bookworm
and a dreamer at heart,
too introverted for her own good
sometimes.
A tendency to be shy
around strangers
or people she has met before.
An observer

of shooting stars and constellations,
of the faint morning sunshine,
the waves of the ocean,
and the wind blowing through the trees,
then takes it all in.

Inspired by elusive fictional heroines,
romantic movies,
silly love songs,
and memories long-forgotten.
She wallows in the music,
or in the silence,
and laughs at nothing at all.
She sees wonder and beauty
in the darkness,
and finds peace
in the midst of a fall.
